My name is Leah and I am the owner and founder of Pembrokeshire Fudge. I live in a town called Pembroke Dock, with my partner Barry and my two busy boys named Noah and Chester.

During the first Covid lockdown in April 2020 I decided I wanted to make something for my friends and family for Easter, to help cheer them up in this unsettling time. So I thought about it for a while and decided I was going to make slow cooked Chocolate Fudge. I had a few goes and gave them to friends and family through their letterboxes during lockdown, my son’s really enjoyed the experience and we made it fun by including them in the preparing, packaging and allowing them to post the items on our sunny walks.

My friends and family gave me great feedback and that encouraged me to keep doing it. In Easter 2020 I
decided to run with the current theme and try Easter themed shapes; such as bunnies and Easter eggs, they were a huge hit so that is something I have tried to continue and embrace, for example at Christmas I have done trees, snowmen, Santa’s etc and I have recently done unicorn shapes too, and I will continue to look at new ideas. In May 2022, I got asked by a shop to supply for them, after all my positive feedback I decided to expand my small business and I am so pleased that I did as since then business has been booming. A hotel has also been ordering regularly for welcome gifts for their guests. I am truly grateful to everybody that has supported me from being a hobby to supporting me through making it a business, I have lots to look forward to with upcoming market stalls and exploring new flavours and shapes and I am excited for what the future holds.
